FUND RAISING COMMITTEE (ADHOC COMMITTEE)

The Fundraising Committee of YWCA of Madras is dedicated to securing vital resources for our organization's mission through innovative and impactful fundraising initiatives. Comprised of passionate volunteers and staff members, our committee orchestrates various activities and partnerships aimed at generating funds to support our programs and projects.

Our Mission:

At the Campus Committee, our mission is twofold: to nurture and preserve the rich natural heritage of the YWCA campus and to promote environmental stewardship and awareness among our members and the wider community. Through our efforts, we aim to create a lush, green oasis that serves as a sanctuary for both people and wildlife.

What We Do:
Jumble Sale:Our signature fundraising event, the Jumble Sale, offers a unique shopping experience while supporting a worthy cause. Staff members and external donors contribute pre-loved items such as clothing, household goods, and other articles, which are then priced competitively and sold to staff members and the public. This event not only raises funds but also promotes sustainability by giving new life to gently used items.

Thrift Hub:The Thrift Hub is a dedicated space where pre-loved articles are curated and sold to the public. From clothing and accessories to home decor and books, the Thrift Hub offers a treasure trove of affordable finds for shoppers while generating revenue for YWCA of Madras. Through this initiative, we promote the ethos of reuse, reduce, and recycle while supporting our fundraising goals.
